Narborough CE VC Primary School

Our school in the Spring
Hallo! Welcome to our web-site!

We are the children in class 3 and we would like to tell you about our school;
There are 94 children here altogether, so the classes are quite small and we all know each other and have plenty of friends.
When you walk through the front doors, you’ll find a warm and friendly atmosphere and everything’s really bright and colourful with lots of displays of our art work on the walls.
It’s a very happy school with fun sort of work and teachers who are always willing to give you a helping hand.
There are 4 teachers; Mrs Buckley is the head teacher and she is always cheerful and we learn hundreds of different things when she teaches us. She teaches in each of the classes for one afternoon a week so she knows us all very well.
Mrs Adams is the smiley Class 1 teacher! We can all remember being in her class when we first came to school. We didn’t know many other children then, but we soon made new friends.
In class 2, we have Mrs Sampson and in this class we learnt lots of ICT skills and made some exciting models too.
Now, we are in Mrs Acker's class and she’s funny and makes us laugh!
We have a new teacher in class 4; Mrs Hammond has joined us and has taught us lots of new skills on the laptops...... and she's a whizz at maths!
What else can we tell you? Well, we go on visits and the year 3's and 4’s have an exciting trip to How Hill every other year. The year 6's go to Kingswood and do some very brave things like something called 'The Jump of Faith'
We go on walks to find out about our village and we have special visitors who come to school to entertain us or help us with some of our projects.
In our classrooms, we do exciting work, sing songs, and we do all sorts of interesting activities in our ‘art circus’. We play tag rugby, football, rounders, netball, cricket and the KS 2 pupils have swimming in the summer..... and there’s climbing apparatus in the hall for PE lessons.
There's a variety of things to choose from if we have a wet playtime too, board games, paper, card, sticky tape and felt pens and of course, with computers in each classroom and PC's in the library, plenty to keep us busy. Sometimes we have the toys out…Yippee!
Our new school building is wonderful and has the same lovely welcoming warmth to it as the older part of the school.
In the corner of our big playing field is our conservation area which is having a serious 'makeover' at the moment. The snow has held-up progress but it should be ready later on in the Spring and then we can use it for minibeast hunting, plant identification, bird watching and pond dipping.
We think our school is simply THE BEST!
