Using pieces of Willow trimmed from the school tree we made a wreath base by twisting and weaving. The stems were pretty flexible and didn't need too much manipulating to get into the circular shape!
Once the wreath base was complete, we went for a short walk to collect some foliage, feathers, seed heads and any other pieces of nature the children wanted to include in their design. Thankfully Ms Bilverstone (Daisy's mum) had supplied us with a fantastic variety of evergreen foliage to provide a background for our pieces.
The children used a variety of natural materials to create some beautiful Christmas wreaths that can be used for many years to come!
