The Treetop Walkway is an astonishing 18 metres above the woodland floor! We were able to walk through the tops of trees, and look at the amazing views across the Gardens and beyond. At times it was a little scary, especially when it began to sway, however everyone who climbed to the top were thrilled with their courageousness.
We climbed all 118 steps up to reach the top of the walkway which is 200 metres long and is made from over 400 tonnes of weathered steel. Along the walkway there were lots of plaques with information about different trees and their habitats. Some of the treetops we walked amongst include: Sweet Chestnut, Horse Chestnut, Beech and different Oak species.
