Narborough Church of England Primary Academy

Better Together

Friends of Narborough School

FONS

We are a friendly bunch of Parents/Grandparents who have informal meetings roughly every half term to plan events that enable us to raise funds for the school and our children.  We hold a yearly AGM and we are a registered charity (No. 1110836) and are accountable to the charity commission.

We get a lot of support from the school staff, parents/carers, local community and businesses with our fundraising.

We raise money by holding various events eg Afternoon teas, Bingo, Raffles, Christmas Fayres, Sweet Stalls ...

The reason we fundraise is so we can help buy extra equipment and fun stuff for the children that the school budget will just not cover, we contribute towards bus trips to save on the cost to parents, recently we funded the Mosaic that the school has made, we buy leaving gifts for year 6's moving on to high school, welcome gifts for reception class, put on a Leaver's disco that is open to all pupils to enjoy and lots lots more.

We are always looking for new and exciting things to do so if you have any other fundraising ideas then we would love to hear them.  We always welcome new members to our team, so why not pop along to our next meeting and see what we do.
