Times tables – ask your parent to create 10 questions from different times tables – they then need to ask each question and give you 3 seconds to answer – this is just like we do in class so explain and guide your parents to do this. REMEMBER they cannot repeat the question!

  2. Draw a large rectangle about 2cm in from the page edge.

  6. Decorate your recipe card

Geography

This is a 2-day task

I would like you to create a map of where you live. This will be a bird’s eye view looking down. Think about:

  • Road layout – take a section of where you live rather than a whole village!
  • Map symbols
  • A Key
  • Foliage
  • Buildings

Add colour where needed.

Today you are going to ask, and I stress ask your parents if you could possibly find and cook a Spanish recipe such as:

See link for ideas:

https://www.thespruceeats.com/easy-spanish-recipes-4118931

It can be sweet or savoury.

Enjoy reading recipes, choosing a recipe, and hopefully cooking and eating the recipe.

If it is not possible to do the cooking part, then research the various dishes shown on the link and choose one you like the sound of.

This is for today, but we will continue tomorrow.

Today you are going to create another postcard – you will need to:

  1. Draw a rectangle 15cm by 10cm twice on a fresh page of your English book.
  2. The first rectangle must have a picture representing Spain on it, as this is where we have been holidaying on a school residential trip.
  3. The 2nd rectangle needs to have a vertical line down the middle
  4. On the left-hand side, you will write the message as if you are me (your teacher) I am sending my postcard back to school to the Head Teacher
  5. Tell them something that the children have been up to – this can be anything, bring in some humour too.

Think to yourself what might a teacher say, we are not stuffy people, we have a sense of humour, what might we write about? I want you to have lots of fun with this – I am giving permission to go for it regarding content! Obviously not regarding rude language though!

Tomorrow you are going to continue with another postcard but this time you are going to write it as if I have written it (Mrs Shrimpton – Your Teacher) on this same trip. You might want to bear this in mind – as you might want to write about something/ an event from your perspective and then my perspective! Linked to our project on Spain I would like you to draw a lizard, use a whole page to do so, then using a mosaic type technique create the most colourful lizard that you can. Use any medium of your choice. These have been inspired by Gaudi – An architect from Reus in Spain. See examples.
