Caretaker ~ Sporle Primary Academy

We are looking to appoint a practical, hardworking and reliable caretaker/cleaner to become part of our family at Nar Valley Federation of Church School Academies, based at Sporle Church of England Primary Academy from November 2021.  The post holder will play a key role in managing the safety, appearance and cleanliness of the school site, its grounds, plant and equipment, in order to provide a safe and secure teaching and learning environment.

Sporle Church of England Primary Academy is a small village primary school located a few miles outside of the town of Swaffham. The school consists of 3 mixed age classes and has just under 70 pupils on roll. Being a church school, Christian values and ethos sit at the heart of everything we do to create an environment where everyone is valued and respected and pupils are given every opportunity to shine. Sporle is part of The Nar Valley Federation of Church Academies, a family of three small Church of England primary schools and part of DNEAT (Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a range of duties that include managing the health & safety, compliance checks and security of the site, have experience of general building maintenance and a passion for DIY. In addition to this there will be the daily cleaning duties of all areas of the school ~ ably assisted by our current premise assistant.

The position is:

  • 26 hours per week; term time plus four weeks during school holidays (please note that this will be a split shift and hours will be agreed on appointment)
  • Permanent
  • Salary Scale C Point 3 to 4 proportionate to the full time rate of £18,562 to £18,933 (depending upon experience)
  • Role is based at Sporle, but may require travel between all three sites.

  • Has caretaking and cleaning experience

Class Teacher (Yr 4/5/6) ~ Sporle Church of England Primary Academy

Maternity Cover

We are looking for a highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic individual to be Class Teacher at Castle Acre Church of England Primary Academy for a maternity cover at the Nar Valley Federation of Church School Academies ideally from December 2021 alternatively January 2022.

Sporle is part of The Nar Valley Federation of Church Academies, a family of three small Church of England primary schools and part of DNEAT (Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust).

The role will be supported and challenged by the Executive Head Teacher and Head of School to create the best possible learning environment that allows children to be the best that they can be and to ‘Let their light shine’.

The position is:

  • Temporary contract until 31 August 2022
  • Full time
  • Salary Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale
  • Ideally starting from December 2021, alternatively from January 2022 
  • Role is based at Sporle and will require travel between all three sites for some meetings.

  • Has a desire to enable every child to succeed regardless of the needs or abilities
  • Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Is a good motivator
  • Has knowledge in KS2
  • Can work under their own initiative.
